Carbon Negative Rigid Air Barrier | saveBOARD
A three storey residential building in Auckland is being wrapped in saveBOARD betterBRACE 4Steel right now.
1,100+m2 of product. 8,603kg of waste diverted from landfill. 7,340kg of CO2e removed from the environment in the production phase, before the building is even occupied.
This is what choosing planet-friendly products looks like at scale.
From 2025, every New Zealand building consent requires a carbon report. Embodied carbon caps apply from 2026 and tighten through to 2030. Every material specified for a NZ build now carries a number that sits inside the consent process.
saveBOARD betterBRACE has an independently verified EPD. The Global Warming Potential at A1-A3 is negative, all our products sequest more carbon than it emits in manufacture.
One product. One project. One Auckland building. And those numbers are already significant.
Multiply that across a city’s worth of construction, that is the scale of the opportunity for low-carbon building materials in New Zealand & Australia.
